Terms of Service

Last updated: June 29, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the tubepress.io website, the TubePress software, and any related services (together, the “Services”), which are provided by the operator of TubePress — the company identified in our legal notice (“the operator”, “we”, “us”). By downloading the software, creating an account, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Services

TubePress is a free, self-hosted content management system that you download and run on your own server. We also offer optional paid services, including AI credits, the licensed video Catalogue, and premium themes and plugins. The core CMS is free to use; the optional paid services are described, and priced, at the point of purchase.

2. Software licence

The TubePress software is provided under the licence included with its distribution. It is free to download and use, including for commercial projects, on as many sites as you own. It is source-available but it is not released under an open-source licence: you may not resell or redistribute the software itself as your own product, and any attribution requirements in the licence must be respected. You are responsible for how you configure and operate your own installation.

3. Your account

Some Services require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

4. Paid services and credits

Optional features run on credits. New verified accounts receive a starter credit balance. Credits and paid services are made available once payment is confirmed, are tied to your account, and are consumed as you use the relevant features. Prices and what each feature costs are shown before you commit. Except where required by applicable law, fees already incurred for delivered digital services are non-refundable.

5. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You operate your own websites with the software, and you are solely responsible for the content you publish and for complying with all laws that apply to you and your audience. This includes, where applicable, age verification, record-keeping such as 18 U.S.C. 2257, copyright and the DMCA, and consent and data-protection law. You must not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to infringe third-party rights, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems. We provide tools that help, but we do not review, and we assume no responsibility for, the content of the sites you build. See our compliance guide for an overview.

6. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms or of any law.

9. Changes

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the competent Bulgarian courts shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the support options in your account dashboard, or to the operator at the address in our legal notice.
